You can’t beat the spacious interior of this home with all the extras! Amazing front porch to relax and take in the Thursday night fireworks! The location is perfect too! We are very satisfied with our stay at Andrea’s place! The house was clean, the kitchen well stocked with essentials (they even have a griddle, which is very useful when cooking breakfast for a large group!), the patio was very relaxing to sit on with our morning coffee, and the location is hard to beat. Easy walk to the beach and we were able to walk to all the local restaurants and bars without an uber. The host was very responsive and accommodating! The best part was being able to bring our Pup with us! It’s hard to find a clean, pet-friendly rental. Thank you for a great vacation!

This cottage has the perfect location! Just far enough from the main road that it’s quiet, and absolutely close enough for a quick walk to the beach or boardwalk. The front porch is perfect for lounging and outside dining. The bedrooms were all comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked. FYI – access to the large back bedroom is either through an exterior door or through the “kids” bedroom with the bunk beds. We comfortably fit 5 adults and 3 kids without any problems or squeezing.

Andrea’s place was nice and plenty of space for our group of 9. Upon arrival, the house was very clean which was great especially during covid.
The beds were comfortable, even the queen pull out couch. Towels and linens were included for our stay, but we did have to bring beach towels.
We ended up cooking in the place and found all the basic cookware we needed.
The porch was very nice for us to hangout on and the coded door lock was nice for people coming and going.
The 4th bedroom with the bunk beds is situated in the back of the house. You have to walk through that room to get to one of the rooms with the queen bed. A little bit of an odd layout, but no one in our group seemed to mind. Also, one of the baths is very narrow. It has a stand up shower and a toilet. Could be a bit tight for some people, but again our group did not have an issue.
Would recommend for a group stay and Andrea was a nice host!

Best front porch for people watching, having a glass of wine, relaxing. Feels so fun to be in the middle of things. The hammock on the patio was a fun place for the kids to relax. If you’re looking for a place to sit and eat with your whole group, this place does not have a dining room table, just stools at two bar areas, but that ended up ok for our family. The separation of spaces is nice, but you have to go through the bunk bedroom to get to the back bedroom which is off the patio, so make sure you have sleeping arrangements that work with that layout.

Andrea was very polite and friendly. Home is adorable and has a great location. Everything was very clean except the towels and sheets were damp and smelled like mildew; I’d bring my own if I’d known. Beware the high Processing fee especially if you bring your dog. We had to pay $300 for a Processing fee for only a two night stay. I thought that was extremely high. Additionally there is a camera mounted above the door on the front porch which made us very uncomfortable. This was not mentioned in the listing online at all, though it was handwritten into the binder in the kitchen. We were not sure if it was active and able to hear/see us when we were sitting out there. I would not have stayed at this property if I had known there was a camera. Overall for our first trip using Air B&B we were disappointed and will not stay here again.

Thanks for your feedback about the towels and sheets. All of our sheets are professionally cleaned at Melissa’s Laundy and we have never had any isssues in the past. I will definitely look into this further though. The dog fee is clearly stated in the listing and is much cheaper than boarding your pet. Last year we did not charge a pet fee and found ourselves replacing blinds, towels, blankets, furniture and repainting doors from scratch marks. We really want to have a place available at the beach where dogs can come and they don’t have to be boarded up but it was costing us to do it so we unfortunately had to add a fee. The fee covers extra cleaning so when people without dogs stay at the cottage, they don’t even realize the dogs have stayed there. I am Sorry you feel like the dog fee was too much but we think it’s fair based on the average $25-50/night to board your dog in a kennel. If you had indicated you were bringing a dog up front then you could have made a decision about bringing it or having someone else take care of it. There is a camera on the front porch and the guest are made aware of its presence. They are also told that it is turned off when guest are there and they are welcome to unplug the base if that makes them feel any better. I tried to be as accommodating as possible with you, in fact you changed your date from 4 nights to 2 nights just days prior to your arrival. I did not have to accept that change because it was so close to the date and because we have a minimum of a 4 night stay in the summer unless you are filling in holes but I was trying to accommodate so I allowed it and took the chance of losing the $400+ And the house being vacant. I am sorry you were disappointed with your stay, especially when you indicated the place ‘is wonderful’ upon your arrival. All went south when the dog was noticed and you were asked to pay the dog fee. Again, I do truest appreciate your feedback about the mildew sheets/towels, I rely on reviews to know if something is wrong and I will make sure this doesn’t happen again.

The front porch has tons of seating and is the perfect place to kick back and relax, the kitchen is updated with everything you need to cook for a large group, and there’s even netflix! A word to those without kids- if you are using all four bedrooms for adults, the very back 4th bedroom can only be accessed by walking through the room with the bunk beds; not a big deal but if privacy is a concern it’s something to think about.

Very clean, and plenty big for 2 couples and 4 small kids…the house layout worked really well. Nice outdoor spaces. Solid WiFi connection. You’ll love it. One tip is to plan on a shopping trip when you arrive (Food Lion is close and Walmart not much further) – we needed food but also had to get a few basics like shampoo and body wash, laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and dish soap.

I will check with my house cleaner and make sure these are being placed out before each guest arrives. Andrea is a wonderful host, and her house is lovely. I needed some suggestions for breakfast and dinner and her suggestions were spot on. She was very easy to get in touch with, and answered my questions very quickly. Her house is in a perfect location: it is a 5 minute walk to the beach and boardwalk just a block away, and an easy walk to restaurants and shops (delicious dinner was around the corner at Havana’s). There are so many little and big touches that make this house a wonderful place for vacation: there’s a foot shower in the front of the house (for when you come back from the beach), there are 2 outdoor dining areas, 1 on the front porch and 1 on back patio next to the gas grill; 4 bedrooms were separated, making everyone feel like they had their own space; large, well-stocked new kitchen with a large bottom freezer fridge and room for 6 at 2 kitchen bars; 3 newly renovated bathrooms made getting ready to go out a breeze. Did I mention that Andrea includes sheets and towels in the rental? Most beach houses don’t, and the linens here are of nice quality. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Our teen daughter loved catching up on her favorite Netflix show on the tv in the living room. Andrea laid out food and water for our pooch, and she has treats, a leash, a toy and poopy bags for dog guests. The house is immaculate – I know for sure, because my hubby is allergic to most dogs and usually he gets red eyes and a stuffy nose when we rent dog friendly houses. He was completely fine in this house. We had a perfect weekend and will be back for sure.

Easy transaction. Andrea is very quick to respond to messages which is a bonus. The house was located just a few minutes walking distance from the beach and restaurants. Really cool BBQ area with a large shade canopy attached to a more secluded back room with it’s own bathroom. Plenty of room for all 10 of us both inside and outside. Overall we enjoyed our experience during this stay. Here is a list of pros and cons:
Pros:
-House was in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood
-Porch seating and lighting was nice and it was a good place to sit outside with friends and family
-The place was clean and the decour was updated
-This was truly a dog friendly place. There were dog treats, extra poop bags, doggie bowls, and a doggie bed for our dogs. Major kudos to the host for this.
-Check-in and communication from the host were seamless.
Cons:
-There were no sheets on the bed or pillows when we arrived and we had to put the sheets on and take them off ourselves. Considering there is a $200 Processing fee, I thought this was too much inconvenience to put on the guest.
-One of the beds is memory foam, but the other two beds were dated and uncomfortable.

Thanks for your feedback! Just to address the Processing fee/ sheet concern. We do not put sheets on the bed so the guest can be assured the sheets have been cleaned/changed (we have the sheets professionally laundered). The norm for beach rentals do not include sheets. When you do rent your sheets, the rate is approximately $22/bed and there is an extra $6/bed to make the beds with the sheets. There is also an extra charge for kitchen towels. Don’t forget you were not charged an additional fee for your dogs which on average is $75/dog and it sounds like you had multiple dogs with you. Adding it up, $22/bed x5 beds plus $150 for the dogs is $260 so anywhere else you would have paid quite a bit more! Definitely no room for making the beds. Prior to your review, I reduced the Processing fee to $150 plus a pet fee of $50/pet. Thanks again for your feedback.

Great place for a great value. Very clean and beautifully decorated. The house is much bigger than anticipated and well within walking distance to the main restaurants and beach! Andrea is a great host and responds very quickly! We will definitely be staying here again!

The front porch was amazing, dog friendly, with a nice quiet neighborhood. Decor was cute and well equipped with anything you may need. It was an easy walk to the beach and the boardwalk (even with kids in tow). Owner always responded within 30 minutes or less after writing her. Hope to stay again in the future!

We loved staying at Andrea’s place. The decor was great and the furniture, especially the beds and pillows were comfortable. Wonderful space and very clean. I don’t think the house could be in a better location to go to the beach or to walk to nearby restaurants and shops. I would recommend Andrea’s home to anyone looking for a laid-back kind of vacation with easy access to… well, everything. Andrea was also very quick to answer any questions and easy to communicate with, too.
PS The locals are very, very nice and happy to see you. We didn’t meet anyone who didn’t have a smile on their face and some thing kind to say.
Some things we recommend:
Renting a (street legal) golf cart. We had a such a blast tooling around in one and drove all the way to Ft. Fisher (only a 10 minute, at the most, drive). Hang Ten for lunch. Hands down our favorite place to eat. For a fancier sort of dinner, head to The Deckhouse. So good. Britt’s donuts. I think they’re better than Krispy Kreme and that’s saying something! Squiggly’s for amazing ice cream.

This beautiful cottage is just a short walk from the beach and is close to numerous restaurants in the area. The house is so well put together and clean/modern. I was so impressed with the entire set up and how quickly any questions were answered. Also, how dog friendly the house was, was AMAZING.

Great location for an easy walk to food and the beach. Go the other way and you are in a quiet neighborhood suitable for a nice walk. The front porch is a fantastic place to just relax and stretch – protected from the rain if it comes.
The back porch and grill was perfect for a cozy grilled chicken meal for us.
It was very nice working with Andrea as all our questions were answered quickly. All the kitchen items we needed were found.
Next time, I will bring a bicycle for an evening bike ride away from the beach.

This is a great place to stay with a family in Carolina Beach. It is decorated beautifully, and has plenty of space. You can tell a lot of thought was put into this home. There is a nice porch in the front and grilling area in the back. Very easy walk to the beach and the Boardwalk. Best house on the block in my opinion with old charm and new amenities.

The house was perfect for our family trip to the beach, including the dogs! Quick walk to the boardwalk and beach. We loved sitting out on the front porch. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt very comfortable.

Amazing location. Lovely cottege feel with a beach charm. Dining/living space is limited, but we did not care because we spent most of our time at the beach. My teens loved the location and my daughter enjoyed surf lessons. Owner was easy to commicate with and always responded quickly. We are not picky renters and easy to please. We chose this place for location and it was perfect.

Great location and comfortable space for our group and my two needy terriers. We literally parked our cars when we arrived and didn’t need them until we left 4 days later. Would recommend a beach cart if you have chairs and coolers. House was well equipped for cooking as well and very clean. Check out the fat pelican and C&S for all your beer and coffee needs.

We spent Memorial Day Weekend at Andrea’s house. We had a wonderful time. Easy walk to the beach and broadwalk. We enjoyed fireworks on Friday night. There are several little shops and food spots. The kids played mini golf and went to the arcade. The house was well stocked for grilling and cooking. The rooms were excellent for sleeping arrangements. We enjoyed the back patio for morning coffee and grilling out. Great place would definitely recommend and will return.

We had an excellent stay and Andrea was very attentive and accommodating with every aspect of the booking. Very clean and comfortable home with ample kitchen and living spaces. Bedrooms are all comfy beds with AC and fans. Very close proximity to the beach with plenty of options for food and drink along the boardwalk. Andrea was very helpful in making sure we had everything we need and offering suggestions for local activities and places to see. Definitely a great home in a great place!

Lovely cottage that was much bigger on the inside than the outside. Pictures didn’t do it justice. It was nicely updated and clean. Perfectly located close to the boardwalk, restaurants and bars. Hosts made us feel welcomed including our dog! I would definitely recommend this home and would come back again.
